How I Won 10 Heads-Up Games in a Row

Last week, the Mansion Poker poker room moved to the iPoker network, and the possibility of playing HU NLHE at $1+0.05 was opened. Since I had about $25 that I had in freerolls, I decided to play this modality in this poker room. And I played one, two, three, four,…, nine, ten and I won them consecutively!! Very cool!

I think it's a very interesting result and I'd like to share the top hands from these ten games here! It's certainly not unprecedented, nor is it something that's hard to do, but for me, it's a great achievement!

Let's go!

PS: my nickname on Mansion is EuSouGaucho (nice!).

1st. Game:

It was a very balanced match, which was decided in one play! Then it was just a matter of putting the finishing touches on it…

2nd. Game:

Very passive opponent. In the last hand my reading said I was winning or it was a coin flip: and I was right!

3rd. Game:

Opponent couldn't handle the pressure I imposed and was defeated in 8 hands!

4th. Game:

I was killing this one. And in the final hand, given my opponent's profile, I felt like I was paying ahead... And I was right! Then, once again, it was just a matter of putting the final nail in the coffin!

5th. Game:

Another one who couldn't handle the pressure. Defeated in 18 hands.

6º. Game:

7th. Game:

Balanced game. Villain lost several small pots and was short with Q9 x 54 on a 322QA board (who told him to check the flop and bet only 40 on the turn?). Then he managed his advantage until he found a good opportunity.

8th. Game:

Another quick defeat (9 hands). I'm going to put two hands this time, as they are interesting. Be very careful with slowplay... You can do it, but be more careful!

9th. Game:

The only game I think I was really lucky with, because look what happened in the second hand of the match and I had no read on the guy at all! After that it only took four more hands to beat him. Now let's face it: with so many draws already on the turn, why didn't he bet? He deserved the suckout...

10th. Game:

I have to confess something: in this last game I was a little nervous... "What if I lose? Break the streak!" I thought. But I kept my concentration and even though I was facing the toughest opponent of the 10 (my opponent, by the way), I managed to dominate the game when the blinds started to go up and I won!! huhhuhuh!!

In summary

I believe I managed to play good poker. The times I went all in, I had the nuts. And the times I called, I was always ahead. Here I only showed hands that I won, otherwise the article would be huge, but I assure you that the very few pots I lost at showdown were small and in no way compromised me.

Thanks guys!!

  1. Hey guys!!

Unfortunately, I was defeated in the 11th game... I didn't want to tell you about it, because there was an external factor that really got in my way (when the blinds were at 20/40, my wife started getting in my way, you know how it is...)

But I have to be honest and say I lost.

My opponent played aggressively (she made three all-ins of more than 1k with a pot of no more than 200) and still hit some good hands (she made a straight on the river and with the river card I made two pairs, one of which was top…).

I got 1.1k against 1.9k. I get 8cTd on the dealer and complete (blinds at 30/60). She checks.

Flop 3dKs5d. She checks and I check.

Turn 8d, she checked, I bet 60 (1/2 of the pot) and she raised 300. Based on her profile I was sure I was ahead and I called.

River 4s, she was all in for 1,620 chips. Since I only had 660 chips and that was a very strange move, I called.

She had 5s4d and made two pair on the river.

Great. I read it correctly and she was happy on the river!

Let's see if one day I can beat this mark of ten consecutive headstands-ups!!

    It cost!!

  2. I liked the post, it's good to analyze hands that weren't played and try to notice a pattern of behavior.
I'm curious to know which program you used to post these images...
Abs and good luck in other HU!!!
