Due to the fitness murder case against UFC and PRIDE, Phil Baroni is preparing to transfer, Stories from ESPN Deportes' Carlos Contreras Legaspi that authorities were pleased to transfer the unusual 46-year-old York native from a cell at the local detention center, the annex where he had been held on suspicion of killing a lady, until now best known continuously as “Paola.”
According to Baroni's claims, he was curiously living with the girl at a resort in the Bahia de Banderas arena in Mexico when the two got into a fight over her revelation to the ragged fighter that she had cheated on him. In a statement to local police, Baroni was reportedly happy to say that he picked the girl up and threw her in the bathtub, the blow causing her to hit her head more than once. He then took her to the mattress and left the room, to save cigarettes and beer in the wake of a question from the girl. He went on to reveal that she was no longer responding when he returned, and perhaps by chance she had not revived, which is when he contacted the authorities.
Contrary to Baroni's epic, the police document states that the girl had suffered more than one accident, now not on the head, but on the legs, arms and torso. Baroni also stated that he was under the influence of drugs and alcohol at the time. With the declaration of residence to be tried, the authorities reported that they transferred him to the State CERESO (articulated detention center) in Tepic. The Tepic detention center is known for its overcrowding, lack of supervision and miserable conditions.
From June 2022 , which was known as one of the worst detention centers in Mexico for 11 consecutive years, the Tepic facility houses 1,865 inmates in a complex designed to hold 894. It is also well known that a lack of adequate staffing meant that the detention center quickly became a hotbed for extortion and bribery, and that inmates created their own agendas to their satisfaction during the detention center's construction.
According to Legaspi's document, assuming Baroni's trial goes ahead, the 'Unusual York Imperfect Ass' will rarely spend 30 to 50 years in central detention on murder charges.
