dchueri: Well guys, I'm new to the world of poker and even newer to the forum. I've become very interested over the months I've been playing and I'm always watching videos, reading articles and trying to improve more and more. I'd like those of you with more experience to show me a good "way" to evolve, a good book to read, etc. I hope you can help me and that one day I may be able to help someone else on this forum.

Hello dchueri !
You can start by reading our Poker Strategy Tips section... Here - Online Poker Strategy: articles, tips, techniques and secrets of online pokerPoker Tips
Good studies!
Don Diego: read the "green book of poker"
of all the ones I've read... it was the one with the most practical application...
but at amateur tables, professional tips don't always work... because players always pay to see, even if they have nothing...
and sometimes you flop 2 pairs and lose to unimaginable cards

Really? I found it very weak. But a good, inexpensive one is Collin Moshman's Advanced Strategies for Sit'n Go Tournaments.
dchueri: Thank you very much, I'll be active, I intend to develop well and I'm counting on you.
hiquefm: review 10$ a session of 1:30 or so.

Admiral84: Another tip is to enroll in a poker "school".
viniciussilvestri: Nothing like reading articles on the internet and talking to other players. Playing and gaining new experience in live poker 😉
mcampanari: Hey guys, in a nutshell I'm a developing player with a good knowledge of the game, such as: 3bet, Slow play, Continuation bet ... And I'd like a good book to deepen my knowledge, I want a book that focuses more on strategies, motivation and the psychology of the game. I'm not looking for a book with a lot of biography. I've been researching some books for a few days, and I'm in doubt between: How to Win Poker Tournaments Vol. 1, Daniel Negreanu - Power Hold'Em, Harrington on Hold'em- Volume 1 (Strategic Play - 2nd Edition).
Well, that's it, send me your opinions and suggestions for other books. Thank you very much in advance.

Look at RoyalSalute's book, it's very good, but I really recommend studying videos and doing reviews with friends.
DonVitche: Except for face-to-face coaching, which is certainly the best, I find that reviews help a lot to understand not only the concepts, but also their practical applications.
One thing that poker "teachers" don't look for is reviews of tournaments in which they played badly, where they fell down playing wrong. They don't seem to want to expose their weaknesses, and I've been hitting them on this a lot. We all know that NOBODY can do things right all the time, but look, even in reviews of tournaments where they've gone far, we see several moves they've made that didn't eliminate them from tournaments or that ended up working out. They end up going unnoticed by students, who tend to be result-oriented.
But in short, the reviews are very good, and you can find many available for free on the internet, even from excellent players.
Good luck!
Tiradentes_: The essence of Texas Hold'n - Carlos Mavca is very good.
If you look for it, you'll even find it in PDF, but at submarino it's worth 50 reais.
It was the first poker book I ever read. Before, I thought poker was just about ranking hands, I didn't even know about position, stealing blinds, float, squeezer, let alone the terminology. The book practically covers all the principles of the game, and then it's easier to focus on what interests you, cash game, sit'n go or mtt.
The cool thing is that it covers not only the technical side of the game, but also comments on and quotes the stories of various people on the down swing, on how not to be shaken by bad beats, what life is like for a poker professional in tournaments and cash games etc..... Very good indeed.
If anyone has any good books to recommend, there could be a pinned topic with a list of the best books. At the moment I'm reading the book "Easy Game" but I'm not enjoying it because the translation is terrible.
evgomes: I can be honest with you, if you already know the rules of poker, now you just have to play a lot, books can help you, but you'll only learn by playing and understanding the hands. From now on, learn that your hand may not always be the best, so if you want to stay alive in a tournament, always bet carefully.

What's up?
So, which one did you decide to buy? Was it worth it?
Thank you!
Lucas09r: Hi guys. I'm a newbie although I've been playing for 6 months. I'm focusing on freerolls before making a deposit. In tournaments I have a big flaw. I manage to hold on for a long time, but when the tournament gets tough I end up paying things that have no foundation, so I end up falling in the hope of taking it. Any tips?

Hi Lucas, my tip is to make a small initial deposit and start playing shorter tournaments.
What's more, if your goal is to be a profitable player, playing for the sake of playing won't get you very far and you'll end up breaking the bank.
I think it's important to look for study content and bring hands on discussions. I'll be able to help if the subject is SNG.
Think about it and have a good game!
Lucas09r: Thank you for replying. I would appreciate your help on SNG.
